Tara Locklear Jewelry

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe the talent of Tara Locklear. She designs the most unique, beautiful, fun, wearable works of are (in the form of jewelry).  If you are into really great craft fair, or very unique pop ups you may find her there.  I came across Tara Locklear Jewelry via the American Craft Show in San Francisco in August. I was on my way out, and hadn’t purchased anything but food when the last booth near my exit was hers. The bright white fabric backing made every one of her pieces pop which mesmerized me.  Tara takes what she says are “undervalued materials into the viewer’s focus” in short she takes skateboard decks and laser cuts/paints them into kick ass wearable art.  The variety of her jewelry is amazing, from bracelets, hoop earrings, statement necklace, all the way to drop earrings.

The one thing that saddens me, is you can really only find her at various exhibits, art shows etc. (no you can’t purchase on her site), but she does have a list of vendors that carry her products with a few of them selling them online. If you are in the SF Bay Area you are in luck her pieces are sold at Velvet da Vinci in San Francisco

Check her out:
