It's been a while since I've done a beauty DIY, but this one I have for you is well worth the wait. It’s a hair one, but for all my readers that don’t share the same hair texture as mine, this one will work for you as well (I try to make things that are universal). The theory is simple mix a humectant that will give your hair moisture and shine, and then add a product that will balance your hairs pH, and finally add a product that will strengthen your hair (and if taken orally it can help you skin and nails too). That’s what the Gelatin Hair Mask will do for you, will add shine, strength, and also softness beyond belief. It’s pretty much a protein conditioning treatment.
½ cup of water
1 tablespoon powdered gelatin
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon honey (I use raw honey)
Dissolve gelatin in water, then add vinegar and honey and mix thoroughly.
How to Use:
Because this mask is protein rich and too much of anything (no matter how good) can be bad, I’d say use this once every 4-6 weeks. All you have to do is slather this on your hair prior to washing ( hair can be wet or dry) and let it sit for 20 minutes then go about your normal routine.
