I guess eBay has truly turned over a new leaf. In the past they were known to have sellers that sold less than authentic designer clothing and purses. eBay has collaborated with CFDA to fight counterfeiters. They did it last year and now have a new line of designer totes to fight counterfeiting, and “celebrate original designs”. This year the line consist of 75 tote bags donned with the words "You Can't Fake Fashion" designed are by some big time fashion names like Catherine Malandrino, FENTON/FALLON, and Diane von Furstenberg. While, I have to admit I’m drooling over some of the totes, I’m also as not a designer handbag girl. I also definitely can’t justify paying 200 dollars for embellished/painted cotton totes regardless of it if was designed by Chris Benz. The good thing is there is also a limited edition collection of 4 bags also emblazoned with the words “You Can’t Fake Fashion” which are priced at a more reasonable $45. All proceeds from these bags to the CFDA.
Now if we can just get eBay to stop allowing people to mark items up 300% ( you know diffusion line stuff from Target and H&M) all would be right in the world.
