I know Berkeley is sometimes synonymous with hippie, grunge, etc, but the handmade jewelry brand Fig & Faun let’s you know that there is much more to Berkeley’s fashion scene than just the stereotypes. While Fig and & Faun does have clearly Berkeley earthy tone to it’s jewelry the dash of sparkle makes it a little special, and on trend for what you’ve seen in fashion magazines. Fig & Faun was started by California native Megan Hosterman, just one year ago and is on track to becoming very popular you may even catch her jewelry in a local boutique.
Fig & Faun would have fit seamlessly into my Natural Jewelery obsession post since it fits into the laid back, effortless, yet eye catching niche of the looks that were featured and what's best is Fig &Faun has a price point that is affordable for everyone. A piece from the Fig & Faun collection would make the perfect gift for your mom, sister, daughter, or better yet a gift for yourself when you are finished shopping for everyone else. But don't think that Fig & Faun is no one trick pony, my favorite item from the shop happens to be a more edgy piece, a pair of fun earrings made of upcycled materials called "Steampunk ". What ever your taste I suggest you try out this local brand for the up coming holiday season and beyond, HAPPY SHOPPING!
And by the way every Friday Fig & Faun features one item from the shop that is 25% off that entire day, to find out what item it is check the website or facebook page!
