Beauty Find of the Week: Burberry Beauty/Burberry Beauty Launch

Behind the Scenes Burberry Beauty Campaign

July 13 , 2010 will be a day of note in beauty history. That day was the launch of Burberry Beauty, a line that is classically British, which makes it so fitting for the Bay Area due to our similar weather. Burberry Beauty is stylish, chic, wearable, and as Burberry Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey says filled with “trenchy colors”. The launch event which was as classy and beautiful as the Burberry brand was held at Nordstrom in San Francisco. The event began with a quick makeup application, were I got to try Burberry Glow (blush) in #3 Rose, Burberry Eyes in Slate Blue #15, Midnight Blue #20, and Midnight Black Liner, and for the lips Burberry Lips in Prune #15, and #3 gloss. The results of my makeover were fabulous, I left beautiful stormy London sky eyes, and classic English Rose lips. After the makeover I was given the honor to interview Burberry Chief Creative Office, Christopher Bailey who was more than kind, and let me in on what was the inspiration behind the 2 ½ year journey that is now Burberry Beauty. Of course no event would be complete without a small cocktail party, and let me tell you the people at Burberry did it in style, the event was graced by San Francisco Socialites, as well as two wonderful women who are also bloggers Karen of Makeup and Beauty Blog and Mira of The Beauty Bohemian . As I’ve heard, this is just the beginning for the Burberry Beauty line but what a wonderful beginning it is.
